Hired as part of a Texas Instruments pilot program to recruit transitioning Military Officers as Management Trainees. Selected as an Account Leader responsible for sale, acceptance testing, negotiation, and driving contract review for Texas Instruments' nascent Winchester disk drive OEM sales to major computer manufacturers. Successfully sold a multi-year $100M OEM agreement with the IBM PC division to provide Winchester disk hard drives, which Texas Instruments decided not to execute for unknown business reasons, then decided to exit Winchester disk drive business. I was offered a position in Texas Instruments Government Electronics Division, but turned it down when I was offered a position with the former Texas Instrument Winchester disk drive executives, who founded Zaisan.

Leadership responsibility for creating / promulgating AV 8 large & small deck launch / recovery procedures to the Fleet Marine Corps Aviation & supporting Navy shipboard commands. Leadership of a 235-person test maintenance group, including 85 civilian union contractors & shop stewards, responsible for the test readiness of Naval Air Test Center aircraft. Leadership of a deployed 65 man maintenance division responsible for the physical systems flight readiness & safety of A7 carrier based aircraft. Leadership responsibility for pilot flight / carrier operation qualifications & certifications for Naval Air Test Center & carrier based A7 squadrons. OIC (Officer-in-Charge) of numerous test & operational detachments. Landing Signal Officer responsible for operational safety of carrier landing operations and testing.
