At Emerald Meats, I fulfilled several roles, including floor manager, counter salesman, and apprentice butcher. Responsibilities included maintaining high standards of customer service and training new team members to uphold company values and quality standards synonymous with Worcester's premier meat market.

In my role as a student employee, I worked closely with the Learning Environments team to provide direct assistance to faculty members and ensure seamless setup for faculty-led events requiring audio-visual technology. Furthermore, our team played a crucial role in facilitating Union College's flagship academic event, the Steinmetz Symposium, ensuring smooth presentations with full audio-visual support. As a senior student employee, I assumed sole responsibility for overseeing weekend activities in the absence of full-time ITS staff.

In this position, I interned under Assistant District Attorney Matt Murphy, gaining firsthand experience in the legal field by assisting with administrative tasks and observing court proceedings in the Worcester County District Court.

Central to my 2017 study abroad experience was my enrollment in English and History courses at York St. John University, located in the vibrant city of York, England. My academic focus encompassed classical English Literature and the historical context of U.S. engagements in Vietnam and Korea.

In fulfillment of my senior requirements for Doherty Memorial High School's Engineering & Technology Academy, I interned for the UMass Medical School of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology under Dr. Shaun Ryder. The Ryder Lab focuses on mechanisms that govern post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression during development and complex disease, characterization of post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms that guide oligodendrocyte differentiation and myelin formation in the vertebrate central nervous system, and identification of small molecule inhibitors of RNA-binding protein function using high throughput screening approaches.
