About Colene Rogers, Shrm-Scp

As a keynote speaker and business consultant, I assist companies in retaining the employees they worked so hard to find. My presentations and training focus on 3 areas. The first is developing trusted leaders. Second, creating a culture where having open and honest conversations to resolve issues and strengthen relationships is the norm. And third, implementing an employee development program where employees want to stay and grow. Message: Every person has value! When this truth is realized and practiced every other good thing becomes possible. Leaders can then be seen as trusted; difficult conversations can be had that resolve issues and preserve relationships; and employees can be developed to benefit both them and the company. This, in turn, helps companies keep the employees they worked so hard to find. Path: As an actress and entertainer, I had the opportunity to act in several theater productions. Along with plain old hard work, the ability to put myself in another person’s shoes helped me get into my character and understand the other characters in the scene. As long as I can remember I have felt the successes and failures of those around me, ready to cheer or give an encouraging word. This same empathy now serves me well when I speak to organizations on the importance of valuing others to achieve all their business goals. This is a smart financial investment that helps companies keep their most valuable asset, their people. Find out more at colenerogers.com. Contact me at colene@colenerogers.com or 850 583-4674 to book as a keynote speaker for your next conference, workshop or retreat.

Training teams in the fundamentals of theDISC model of human behavior is a vital step in the process that makes this a reality.DISC reveals that each person is a blend of four personality styles, and that one or two of those styles will be your most natural way of communicating and receiving information. The power comes inunderstanding yourself through your own personality style, understanding others through their own personality style, and adapting your style to the person or situation to create better relationships and results. Some leaders are known for getting results; others are known for developing meaningfulrelationships; the most gifted leaders are known for both. Let’s relate this to one of the personalitystyles within DISC. The D personality style is driven to get results, but if all they ever do is drive, drive, drive, they will wear people out. When this leader also learns to express the inspiring side ofthe I style, the supportive side of the S style, and the cautious side of the C style, they will join theranks of the most gifted. How can I Help?Purchase Your Assessment – There are many DISC assessment reports to choose from.
