I did a lot of that in my years as a Sr. Software Developer and as such I learned quickly, "sure I am a very good developer but I will never be a great architect." Lucky I got sent on a pre-sales call for a very large Military deal... and the rest is history. I can still write a mean bit of code, I but not like the real Sr. engineers I work with now.
