As an Environmental Production Representative (EPR), I worked on the Netflix production YES DAY, following the guidelines of the Greener Production Guide. I was responsible for completing three documents, namely the PEACH, PEAR, and PLUM, as well as on-set duties.The PEACH is a tool that tracks a production's sustainability and suggests ways to improve. It requires an interview with each department and a report is submitted to the GPG. The PEACH uses a point-based system that tracks how green a production is being and suggests methods of creating a more environmentally sustainable set. The assessment is broken down into departments.The PEAR is an accounting tracking document that tracks spending on things like fuel consumption in a detailed way. It is different from the ledger that Accounting normally generates because it specifically tracks things like fuel consumption.The PLUM is a lumber tracking document that tracks where and how lumber is purchased for set construction.As the EPR, I worked with each department to implement green practices such as proper trash sorting, no idling policies, composting, and reducing non-biodegradable materials. I also helped in the back end by donating unused materials and recyclable goods after wrap.
