Chapter Director of the BNI Apollo chapter. Responsible for chairing the weekly meetings making sure a BNI agenda is followed. Making sure the meetings finish at 8.30am.

My job role intially was a childrenswear designer along with merchandising. My job role is to design new and upcoming designs for childrenswear done within seasons.. I have been working for Baum Trading for 7 months and so far I have worked on newborn - 24 months all genders designing from layette sets to outerwear. I have also worked on some boyswear. The merchandising side of my job was to merchandise AW11 orders, to deal with the factories and merchandise all goods and check they are correct and to a good high quality standard. This includes liaising with the factories and customers.Graphics is an important part of my job and with childrenswear and can be a key selling point so it is important I choose the correct graphics for each garment.I also have customer work and orders to deal with regularly.I am really enjoying my experience as a young designer working on childrenswear and I hope to progress further in my career within childrenswear or another department.

Responsibilities:•Designing a 6 – 24 month baby girls range, deciding my own themes and colours and what items I wanted to design.•Preparing sample packs for a range to be sent to a factory to be made up in bulk.•Photographing garments.•Arranging clothes for presentation to existing and potential clients.•Liaising with staff members to achieve tasks in time sensitive projects.•Sample shopping trips to the high street.
