Storytelling is the thread that sews my eclectic professional life together. I've been an actor, director, grant writer, singer, development manager and a producing artistic director. But, no matter where I've worked or what I've done, stories have driven the success of every effort. Stories are how we learn about ourselves and how we relate to each other. Now, I'm a nonprofit writer with over 20 years of experience helping the helpers make a better world.I'm currently the Institutional Giving Officer at YoloCares, formerly Yolo Hospice, in Davis, California. I work with the entire agency to develop and nurture a grants program for the premiere provider of community-based hospice, palliative care, bereavement support and caregiver programming in the region. Skills include expert grant writing and grants management, relationship management, communications writing and, of course, storytelling.My love for all things creative now expresses itself through my writing. High-impact storytelling and a sincere commitment to the mission of my organization has resulted in exciting grant awards and helped give our agency the resources it needs to enrich the lives of more people each year.
