For most of my professional career, I have worked in the technology as well as sales & business development sectors within the telecoms industry. I have now evolved sort of naturally to fintech, focusing on mobile top-ups, remittances, e-commerce and digital value transfer in particular. It has been an awesome experience to be involved in the fascinating roll out of new technologies over the last decade. Perhaps the crowning moment was to see my team being recognized by a Mobile Operator for significantly improving the lives of its customers during the tumultuous first wave of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Covid was indeed a digital accelerator, as we are well aware. In recent times, I have become enthralled by the rapidly expanding methods of digital payments to the extent I have done some up-skilling in this space.
