After 40 years since leaving full time education and going into full time employment, I have taken early retirement to concentrate on my own business.

To focus on internal and external partners, delivering the key objectives and targets of the Directorate and trust to support the delivery of high quality cancer services to patients. Ensuring that performance management mechanisms are established to deliver, monitor and report compliance against national waiting times targets, peer review standards are met, Improving outcomes guidance (IOGs) are delivered and service improvement is fully integrated into service planning across the trust. Including support of the Addenbrookes Cancer Board.Managing the Cancer Multi-Disciplinary (MDT) coordinators team, ensuring the delivery of key targets within the budgeted resources available. Coordinate the planning, development and implementation of service improvement, capital and other projects for the areas of responsiblity.

To manage and deliver all aspects of contract management, working within a MDT deliving on behalf of the Clinical Commisioning Group.

As the CQUIN Manager the role includes a link between the CCGs in Norfolk and the provider organisations.

Head of Patient Experience and Clinical Audit Department, delivering the Ambulance Quality Indicators for the Trust. As Audit lead i Chaired the National Audit Governance Group, and as Patient Experience lead i chaired the National Ambulance Service Patient Experience group.

Responsible for running a busy military practice delivering Primary and Secondary care to members of the Armed Forces in London.Training personnel in BLS and ILS as well as delivering emergency care in the filed. Trained in Battlefield Advance Resusitation Techniques and Skills.

As Practice Manager I was responsible for the running of a busy Central London Medical Practice, specialising in occupational health, vaccinations and military medicine. My responsibilities included managing the pharmacy budget, managing all staff both medical and administrative, managing the daily running of the practice including the £3.5 million practice budget.As a trained medic I also carried out vaccinations including Yellow Fever, Polio, Tetanus and other regional vaccinations for staff deploying across the world. I also undertook routine medical examinations for personnel deploying abroad, as well as daily triage of patients attending the medical centre for routine appointments.
