Siena Construction is pleased to welcome Colin Delaney to the team as a Project Superintendent and Assistant Project Manager. As Superintendent, Colin manages field operations on site, including supervision and evaluation of construction and personnel; he also serves as an Assistant Project Manager, where he coordinates and circulates project information among team members. Colin brings a decade of diverse construction-related experience – including as Assistant Superintendent and Resident Engineer – to his responsibilities at Siena. During his previous tenure at Suffolk Construction, Colin helped build large residential apartment complexes, including the Seaport District's Boston Wharf Tower, and Barry's Corner historic redevelopment in Allston. He also previously worked as a Resident Engineer at Massachusetts Department of Transportation, with a specialty in bridge rehabilitation Though currently working in the construction management field, Colin’s educational background is in civil engineering. He attended the University of Vermont where he received his B.S. in Civil Engineering. After graduation Colin began working for MassDOT where he oversaw highway bridge construction. During this time Colin decided to further his education and began a graduate program at Northeastern University. While working full time for MassDOT Colin was able to complete his course work and graduate with an M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering. When not focusing on work, Colin’s interest learn towards his love of the outdoors and using his own hands to complete small scale landscaping and home improvement projects. Throughout his high school and college years Colin worked for various companies that specialized in landscaping and home building. These early jobs helped to develop his work ethic and carve out a career path.
