After 33 years with Hozelock I find that the most important attribute you can offer customers is truth and knowledge. I know the watering market inside out. Hozelock buy masses of data from GFK and we are presented with this information regularly. I give my opinions to my customers about what stock to list, what to promote and how I feel the best way is to merchandise, all based on actual sales and history with other accounts. Hozelock do outsell our nearest competitor at least 4 to 1 which basically means we put money in the till faster than anyone else. it's all down brand awareness, and good service from account managers. Its a mirror image for our main competitor in their country.When I discuss requirements with my accounts, it's based on years of knowledge. Brands always sell faster and are sought after. Wilkinson Sword, Round up, Miracle Gro, SBK to name but a few. It helps that Hozelock is British and the majority of our stock is made in Birmingham.
