CurrentThe Univerisity of London Chamber Choir is a highly auditioned group of 28 singers from the federated colleges of the university. It performs a wide repertoire from early and rennaisance to contemporary. Its first CD was released in 2011 and the choir made a highly acclaimed tour of northern Italy in July 2012. Regular performances are given in London and the UK, including such venues as Ely and Southwark Cathedrals, Imperial College is a large unauditioned choral society of some 140 singers. It performs the large scale choral repertoire: recent performances have included Verdi Requiem, Mozart Requiem, Elgar Dream of Gerontius, Bach St John Passion, Handel Israel in Egypt. The choir is to join with the University of Bournemouth Choir to perform Britten's War Requiem in Winchester Cathedral in February 2014 during the composer's centenary year.
