My main objective in this role with UnitedHealthcare was to provide sales solutions to Medicare and Medicaid recipients. In my role, I routinely exceeded my sales goals by +250%, set company records in both 2020 and 2021 for most sales in a day during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), and ranked in the top 5 in the country for AEP sales out of 3,000+ internal and vendor agents. In addition to working with a portfolio of products including Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans, I held and maintained health insurance licenses in all 50 States and Territories.

As an Assistant Account Executive, my role was to ensure all projects on the BI-Lilly Account ran smoothly in pursuit of satisfying client goals. As a Junior Patent Examiner I gained first-hand experience examining biotech and pharma patent applications utilizing examiner resources as deemed eligible under 35 U.S.C. (pre-AIA and AIA). I predominantly dealt with national stage applications and restrictions requiring applicants to better specify what they required as their invention and prior art searches pertaining to obviousness, anticipation, statutory and non-statutory double patenting. In my role I also took on a project to research and create a database of small to mid-size biology-based institutions with the goal of streamlining the patent application process for them.
