I am a retired U.S. Army veteran with a Bachelor of Science in Business concentrating in Accounting. The things I value most include integrity, professionalism and leadership without compromise. I feel if we concede defeat to any of these three values, then recovery is staggeringly difficult and potentially expensive. Some of the skills I possess include intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency, knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting, principles of finance and economics; as well as, management theory. I have experience in instructing, management, and upper division leadership support. Additionally, I have a background in leading work groups by using different tactics with each member depending on their individual traits and learning patterns. Some of the things that interest me the most within a business environment include a delegating or participating management style making employees feel they are part of the larger team and developing management skills from within. I do not enjoy a toxic environment or one which operates primarily on a reward or punishment basis. I truly believe if an employee is unhappy coming to work, then a leader or manager is failing them. I relish the opportunity to work in a position that affords me the ability to add value to an employer through my knowledge, interests, and expertise.
