During my undergraduate study at the University of Michigan in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, I held several summer internships to grow my experience in chemical applications. A chemistry lab position at Scops Coating Technologies in 2022 explored the affect of formulation and coating thickness on heat sealing properties for paper bags. In 2023, I accepted a Quality Assurance internship in API manufacturing for Agno Pharma, a contract development and manufacturing company in China. My work followed the process validation for an incoming API drug, where I assisted in change control and simplified SOPs to reduce deviations for the manufacturing process. This experience in a cross functional team in China greatly improved my teamwork and communication skills.Additionally, I spent a large portion of my collegiate career involved in student organizations on campus. Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, provided me with the opportunity to plan and execute large service events for the broader community, such as youth engineering days designed to inspire the next generation of engineers. This experience allowed me to take on the role of director for the Fall Engineering Career fair, one of the nation's largest student run career fairs with 300 attending employers. In this role, I led a team of 31 students to complete our project over a period of one year. During this time, I developed a passion for leadership and love for working within teams with a united goal.
