I work directly with a Registered Nurse at Nationwide Children's Hospital on the Cardio Pulmonary Intensive Care Unit (CTICU). As of now, my responsibilities include observation of nurse and education on the nurse role in the ICU unit setting, collection of vital signs on patients, helping with patient adjustments and cares as needed, collecting blood glucose readings on patients, setting up rooms in preparation for admission from the operating room, transfer of patients throughout the hospital, and assisting nurses wherever else it may be needed.

Create a safe swimming environment for patrons attending our indoor/outdoor facility through active water surveillance, weekly in-service trainings throughout summer season, actively enforcing pool policies and rules, checking equipment and water attractions for safety concerns prior to pool opening.

Oversee and help to manage a full staff of lifeguards at an indoor/outdoor Aquatic facility. Responsibilities include, hosting in-service trainings weekly during summer season, teaching lifeguard/CPR courses to help certify new guards, create rotation schedules and manage staff throughout shifts at indoor and outdoor aquatics facilities, enforce pool policies and rules, interact with patrons and create a friendly customer service environment, and maintain pool chemistry through the use of adding chemicals and controlling chemical-control machines in the pump room.
