Stepping away from full-time employment, I re-launched my dormant design company with the intention of providing consultancy-type services in a part-time basis. This role was a very enjoyable one, enabling me to combine my development of system layout using SketchUp as the main tool and data analysis when required. Also involved in creating presentations and interacting the customers.This role came to an end due to my desire to step away from a full-time working regime and switch to something more part-time. Flexi-retirement, if you will.

My final role within the Solutions Development department was a very enjoyable one, enabling me to get involved in many aspects of Concepting, supporting my Team Leader, Steve Baker, in all manner of interesting tasks, and supporting Katie Budd in all things AutoStore. I have regrets in leaving so many colleagues, with whom I established positive working relationships. I would go so far as to call them friends.

Been a while since I had my own company. I was providing 'Applications & Proposals Services' in both Aerospace and Automotive environments, dealing in anything associated with Materials Handling. I sat comfortably in the Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, Concept, Development, and Layout phases of Projects.I'd been working for several Clients including, from October 2010 to June 2013, Nova-Tech Engineering - mostly providing support and advice in developing conveyor system design and functionality in the North-West of England.Before that, from March 2010 to October 2010, I worked for Street CraneXpress assisting in preparation of conveyor and handling schemes and specifications in Belfast. Between August 2009 and March 2010, I worked for Crisplant on the Nike Sports China project in control of overall conveyor layout, developing alternative schemes and feasibility assessments.I come from an Automotive background, three decades of Translift, with competence in all mechanical aspects of EMS designs, but with an aptitude for providing client liaison and developing schemes and layouts. This experience has lent itself very well to the transition into Aerospace.AutoCAD is the drawing method by experience. Catia is currently on the career development track.The first half of 2013 saw a shared involvement with Nova-Tech and AFT Automation Ltd. The second half of the year was mostly with AFT, with whom I continued to have an occasional role as their Proposals guy. This year I maintained support to AFT on proposals activities, along with aiding DH Project Support Services with the same, including some engine slinging for JLR. Currently finishing off some design work for DHPSS for Cinetic for JLR, otherwise I have no other CH-APS commitments.
