I'm passionate about leveraging algorithmic thinking alongside financial technology to deliver data-driven solutions.Over the last few years, I have worked on developing a full-stack algorithmic trading platform designed to provide an end-to-end solution to the challenge of researching, developing and deploying algorithmic trading strategies for a network of assets. The platform comprises a sequence of four products under one leading product that strategically spans the two major sectors of algorithmic trading and quantitative research. The platform is built with TypeScript, Next.js, MongoDB and Django, and the present focus is on deploying the platform, which includes migrating the initial data app built in Plotly Dash to the commercial platform.During my time at UBC, my top projects have covered algorithmic asset allocation, e-commerce and social networking applications. In my asset allocation project, I developed a broad class of analysis algorithms to algorithmically compute the top 4 key factors for equity selection from a set of over 40 predictors, automating the process of asset allocation and facilitating data-driven investment strategies for use by allocation experts.The seamless integration of automation, data science, and user experience design is what I consider to be one of the most fundamental underpinnings of products that promote economic empowerment in the present day.
