My experience covers living and working on three continents and working in the Rio Tinto London head office, at business unit head offices and at large operating sites. I have operational leadership, financial experience and have led an organization through an IPO process and as the CEO and Executive Director of the subsequent U.S. publicly listed company for nine years. In 2019 I led CPE through a successful Chapter 11 reorganization that resulted in the sale of the mine as going concerns, with minimal redundancies, and the payment of all taxes and royalties. I have been involved in working with joint ventures, in wholly owned business units, at operations and in leading an independent company. During this time I have been directly accountable for the safety of thousands of employees and the operating and P&L performance of the businesses. I have operational experience in open pit coal and iron ore mining in Australia and the U.S. and have commercial experience in Australia, Asia, United Kingdom and the U.S. I have particularly enjoyed developing the teams I have led and watching individuals develop and move on with their careers. I am currently looking for a non-executive director role with an international company where my experience would be of value. I hold Australian, United Kingdom and U.S. citizenship.
