About Colin Martin

I am a IT Professional with over 25 years’ experience including IT Operations and IT Service Management, working in the Insurance and Telecommunications industries. I have over 15 years experience in IT Service Management which includes roles is IT Change Management, Problem Management and Service Transition (Operational Readiness). As a Senior IT Change Manager I am focused on ensuring Changes are fully documented and tested and have the best chance of not causing any disruptions to business system. I have the ability to organize and chair forums like the CAB (Change Review Board) and fully investigate failed change issues.In the Service Transition / Operational readiness role I was responsible for ensuring when new systems were introduced to production that the correct process were in place to support the new system. This included ensuring monitoring was in place, escalation procedures were documented and known, user training had been conducted and disaster recovery requirements updated.As a Problem Manager I was driven by Root Cause identification and remediation, and would regularly organising PIR (Post Incident Review) forums for any deeper investigations.I have a passion Service Management and particularly effective governance and the Change Management process.I have ITIL foundation Certificate accreditation as well as training in Kepner Tregoe Problem analysis
