During my time as a Senior Computer Specialist I worked in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team in a senior role to provide support for customers using Identity and Access Management services. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing customer needs and developing business requirements; contributing to service strategy discussions; applying user-centered design processes to user interactions with IAM services and supporting documentation. Services supported included but aren't limited to SSO integrations with Shibboleth and Azure idPs, 2FA support with Duo, Certificate support with Sectigo and implementing ACME, support of Grouper, home grown identity registry systems connecting with many vendors including Workday, and more. Additional responsibilities include contributing to projects that change the features, usability, service levels, or other aspects of service designs; testing, validating, and transitioning to new designs; and developing operations, integration consulting, and support. This position provides education, outreach, and advice to UW departments, including UW-IT, incorporating principles of user-centered design, information architecture, enterprise architecture, risk management, and integration best practices for identity and access management. This includes identity federation with InCommon Federation participants, Internet2 NET+ services, vendor applications, and other "cloud" computing models (software as a service, infrastructure as a service, etc.).As a senior in this role responsibilities expanded to include training of new team members, driving services as a Service Manager, and leading service defining projects.

During my time as a Senior Computer Specialist I worked in the Customer Service and Support (CSS) department within the UW Systems Access Management (UW SAM) team . In this role was I responsible for delivery of escalated support for UW-IT services for the Technology Service Center (TSC). This included the continued responsibilities of Routing SME and further development of the process. As part of this development I implemented a Machine Learning algorithm to reduce the manual workload required.This position also provided support for HR, Risk Management, the Attorney General's Office (AGO), University Complaint Investigation and Resolution Office (UCIRO), and the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in Business Continuity, eDiscovery, spam/fishing, and DMCA notification fulfillment. Additionally, this position supports the and maintains access control to the student and budget mainframe while keeping records for annual audits.

Tier one support for the University of Washington CSS doing internal 1st level support for technical and administrative questions. Interacting with local, regional, or national service providers to facilitate incident management, request fulfillment, and problem resolutions.Trained to support request intake and classification under ITSM Structure, and maintain supporting processes and documentation for the subject as the "Routing" Subject Matter Expert (SME). Serving as the escalation path for troubleshooting complex computing, network, system and application problems in an enterprise environment. Anticipating, actively monitoring, and then solving operational problems. Also consulting with groups in UW-IT, UW Medicine ITS, Health Sciences, and other healthcare providers in UW Medicine, regional and national service providers to cultivate collaboration toward facilitating problem resolution with the UW computing and telecommunications network (including off-campus affiliated sites).

As student manager, I was responsible for being the liaison between the college employees and student workers. A component of these duties was being involved in interviews and hiring processes, creating a new training regiment, and personally training the new hires. Additionally, training for further positions or just refreshing the current employees was conducted by the student managers as they acted as the primary information source for all student workers. This extended to the average working day where I was the first contact if the student consultants had questions or were unable to make their shift, especially if the conflict arrived after hours. Secondarily the role of student manager also was responsible for creating and enforcing all shift schedules, being in charge of discipline and mediating any disputes that would arise between students.

Print Manager is responsible for scheduling all requests for the college for Large Format Printing (academic posters). This entails managing a scheduling system (scheduleonce), creating appointments for clients, scheduling a student worker to preform the printing, and ensuring the print happened to the client's satisfaction.Additionally, as Print Manager I was in charge of maintaining the plotter printer and training all student consultants on printing and maintenance procedures, as well as being the first contact if there were any after hour issues with the printing process.

As a student consultant, responsibilities include being the first responder to students and faculty with technology issues, as well as maintaining the college's labs around campus and distributing the inventory of technology services. This was done both in the field, as well as while working the on campus helpdesk that supported students, staff, and employees of the college alike. As a helpdesk employee, I was responsible for troubleshooting a wide variety of hardware and software malfunctions, providing client support, and triaging support requests for escalations to rest of the staff.

A summer only position, this was a continuation of the duties of the standard student consultant, working the helpdesk and supporting the college during the summer months.Beyond the normal student consultant tasks, as a summer consultant I lead the asset inventory conducted yearly that was required to keep track of the over two thousand assets the school was responsible for maintaining. Leading this entailed creating a schedule, executing it to insure that no department was inconvenienced during this process, and keeping meticulous records for each asset. Additionally, beyond the usual student consultant duties of support, during summer months consultants were more involved with the physical repair of computers and printers. This included working on network security, imaging, and decommissioning any assets.

As a riddler I was responsible for ensuring that the sparkling wine of Mountain Dome winery had the yeast growth necessary to create the sparkling wine to the correct carbonation without buildup. As a bottler, I spent between 8-12 hours working on the bottling line performing the physical labor innate to this style of work.
