My greatest passion in life is healthy, delicious food. Through my time at Cal Poly, I've realized that healthy food comes from a healthy earth, and that regenerative food systems are the safest way of securing this for everyone. My dream is to help build sustainable food systems that continue to grow and nurture the communities within and outside of them. For most of my life I worked in the food service industry; and through blood, sweat, and tears, this industry taught me how to think quickly, clearly, and efficiently under pressure. I have also worked on an organic farm in Cayucos, California and volunteered at local vegetable gardens in San Luis Obispo, CA. This work taught me the patience, discipline, and forward thinking that I needed after the fast pace of the kitchen. Now, as a personal project, I like to manage an organic garden of food crops and native pollinator plants and install gardens for other people.I have done all of this while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in General Economics at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I hope to use the skills I learned through school, work, and in my personal adventures to secure healthy and delicious food for my community in an environment that works for all the creatures living within it.
