My main interest and the bulk of my experience since beginning my private practice in 1992 is in psychodynamic theory and practice. My work at Tygerberg hospital is mostly with patients (adults and children) where a medical condition is part of their presentation e.g. causing psychological or emotional problems or where somatic symptoms are produced by psychological or emotional problems.
