I'm a data professional with extensive experience in leading strategic data innovation to support high profile / high value policy & programme management outcomes. This encompasses leadership of data strategy development and implementation, data architecture, data management, data engineering, geospatial data, data analytics, and development of underlying database technologies, data pipeline and cloud platforms. I currently lead on all aspects of data management, data engineering and data analysis for Scottish Government's Digital Connectivity portfolio, supporting policy development and national scale infrastructure deployment in relation to superfast & gigabit capable broadband, 4G and 5G coverage.I'm interested in the transformation of data into information, knowledge, and insight in order to provide evidence, enhance understanding, and develop strategic solutions to complex problems.I'm experienced in leadership within central government, in close partnership with large private sector organisations, market regulators and other public bodies.
