Working with a financial services client on engineering delivery in the portfolio - locations which include United Kingdom, Europe and Middle East

Responsible for the EMEA Engineering Operations & Technical Services delivery for the HSBC Account. Overall responsibilities are for technical operations which including the global head office, critical facilities, offices and the retail network in over twenty countries in UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa..Daily responsibilities include account transition, transformation, strategic direction; JLL engineering platforms; engineering performance KPI & SLA’s; audit and statutory compliance and delivering the services against agreed targets by country, regionally & globally.

Key Responsibilities Enforce the health and safety culture including a zero tolerance policy to unsafe working practices to target a zero accident rateSales and Business development: Support the BD team in development of engineering solution for the response to an RFP Support the build of the engineering response to new business, re-bid RFP, assist in defining the commercial pro-forma and develop the costing. Work with the team in the development of the engineering staffing requirement. When required present and work yellow pad sessions as part of the pursuit team. Manage and train the teams on the ESCP (Compliance Program), the completion of building condition surveys at client premisesincluding life cycle assessments and provide subject matter & market sector expertise / 2nd Tier technical support.Provide ad hoc consultancy services including adhoc projects up to £1M , commissioning oversight to clients including the financial management of budgets for consulting work, engineering transitions and projects.Pilot, deliver and support the next generation of maintenance strategies and technology platforms being implemented across EMEA including the Evaluation, proposal and implemention appropriate tools/ processes / optimisation routines to support the engineering functionTo implement in liaison with Global/Regional counterparts an appropriate operational audit process covering our engineering services and linked in to other audits as required (specifically HSE, QA and Legal). Lead audits on client accounts and collaborate on required action plans.Provide field support to engineering operations in the event of incidents including root cause analysis, investigation and follow up.Strategic oversight of the transition and transformation initiatives providing the leadership for the engineering element of the projects liaising with the other functional leads in the implementation of the agreed strategies.

Critical Environment Management for the portfolio under management by JLL. This includes Data centres, laboratories, distribution centres and call centres. All with diverse needs and requirements but must be kept functioning.Energy Services carrying out energy audits of client premises, fine tuning of building systems to reduce wasted energy yet continue to meet customer expectations, and assisting clients with the requirements of the Carbon Reduction Commitment.Managing the projects team for projects under £750k for clients. This includes electrical power upgrades, relocating staff in buildings, energy projects, replacement of boilers, Installation of ground source heat pumps. The team takes the clients requirements, produces scope documents, tenders and selects suppliers. Then manages the project to completion, training of staff and handover of the operation manuals,I manage the auditing of the operational delivery to ensure JLL operate legally compliant sites in the 26 European, Middle East and Africa countries in which we manage facilities.In 2009/10 I project leader for the startup of a new business entity within Jones Lang LaSalle, then transition manager for the first three accounts into the new entity. These projects have required me to write and present business cases to the company board. The entity within the first year had a turnover in excess of $12M and achieved profitability in 13 months. Recent projects have included: business development engineering lead in a successful bid for 1.08M sq ft of real estate under JLL management; management of transition team which included negotiation of the soft services cleaning and catering contracts took the position of Account Operations Manager for the first six months whilst the permanent manager was appointed.
