In this role, I established a human-centered, results-driven vision for the Microsoft 365 Common Web Experiences and the Microsoft 365 App on desktop and web. I also improved our organization's ability to experiment in thoughtful, impactful ways while improving the velocity and reliability of spec delivery from my product management team. Lastly, I took risks and created psychological safety for employees around mental health & wellbeing by sharing personal stories, tools and resources.

In this role, I set a clear and compelling strategy by engaging in comprehensive customer research and synthesizing results across 16 possibilities for new Viva apps; made clear exec recommendations on what to build next. I also developed a comprehensive vision for Viva's chosen app incubation in partnership with design, subject matter experts, external researchers, and target customers. With this, I kept the team focused on what mattered most by specifying key outcomes and risks. Lastly, I operated with an inclusive and collaborative mindset across the company. Led key efforts on the Windows 11 user experience team to help customers get more out of their PCs everyday. Directly managed teams working on File Explorer updates and Microsoft Teams integration for enterprises and consumers. Led a large virtual team that planned and delivered new value for high profile features such as desktop window management, remote work optimizations, accessibility, and more.

Redfin is changing an entire industry by redefining real-estate in the customer's favor. In alignment with that mission, my teams built software to help more and more buyers find their dream home. We did this by listening to customer needs and experimenting rapidly to achieve results. On the other side of the real-estate transaction, I also led teams that created custom software used by Redfin agents - tools for communications, productivity and customer relationship management - so every agent could deliver amazing service to each home buyer.---Vision: Established long-term vision for Redfin's mobile field software. Inspired the field, engineers & execs via vision presentation to 1,000+ employees at Redfin's annual meeting. Set up team with clear roadmap. Engagement: Became key leader for Redfin's growth & user retention strategy. Increased new user sign-ups by more than 70% through rapid experimentation.

Artificial intelligence will one day change our everyday lives at home and work. While at Skype, I defined the core user experience framework for bots and broader intelligence within messaging apps. This work included writing and publishing best practices for developers integrating these technologies in 1:1 and group conversations.

At Skype, I led an experimental video messaging app called Skype Qik. Using Lean Startup methods, we drove continuous improvements and experiments, increasing our rate of shipping and learning by up to 4X compared to when my tenure began.After ending the Qik experiment, I brought the following value to the main Skype app:- Produced recording-breaking engagement with Skype video messaging, based on learnings from Qik.- Drove data-driven experiments to improve customer engagement, retention and satisfaction.- Taught experimental methodologies to the broader Skype organization.- Became sought-after internal expert on approaches and tools for customer analytics.

While working in London, I led the development of new and innovative programs to drive in-app engagement with Skype across mobile and desktop platforms.- Defined overall vision for the product in collaboration with engineering, design, and senior leadership.- Concurrently managed dependencies with several teams in a highly resource-constrained environment.- Demonstrated significant improvements in customer engagement via thoughtful A/B experiments.- Collaborated with data science team to define clear metrics and produce compelling insights.

A great operating system provides value from day one.
