My work is very diverse. I work from acting as controller to several shortline railroads as well railroad construction, equipment leasing and assisting with consolidation of owner’s personal financials with the co-owned companies. On a daily basis I am also working cash flows from daily balances to expected on different upcoming time intervals to help forecast cash needs. Coordination and communication between ownership and the operations to achieve the goals given requires diligence to be able to stay on top of and be able to mediate and communicate between both parties. Also responsible and have created quarterly reviews for all companies we within 30 days of quarter close that we hold with operations and ownership in order to keep everyone on the same page and working together. Doing this helps both operations have some knowledge of expectations and gives ownership insight on the health of the companies and any areas of short comings that would need addressed. I not only deal with a lot of communications internally with ownership and operations but work with our outside vendors and lenders as well as any potential investors we may have in order to provide them whatever information is necessary for them to make their decision.

Monthly reconciliation of company credit cards and bank accounts. Processing sales rep payments based off their monthly sales. Processing tax documents. Sales analysis on customers. Inventory forecasting. Manage A/R. Process A/P through check and OBP. Knowledge of all products including target users, product uses and major talking points of each product. Communication with customer about updating product details, bullet points and product descriptions. I am also responsible for handling any communication of errors from shipping or product details if any arise.

Bicycle X-Change is a 3 generation family owned and run bicycle shop located in Wichita Kansas. At Bicycle X-Change I had experiences ranging from working with customers helping them decided which bicycle to buy. I was also working as a mechanic where I would evaluate each bicycle and provide the customer a quote for repair. Doing both of these duties allowed me to have a wide range of responsibilities.
