I have been made Redundant on Sept 6th 2019 and will be open to new employment.My final contribution to the business was recognising the need for (with no demand from site management during the administration process on site given) devising and subsequently implementing a method of safely at minimum cost by reacting 8.4tes of Phosphorus Oxychloride using only water within the production plant where it was used. Producing aqueous acidic waste at normal production strength suitable for contract waste.I assembled a small team of the incumbent technical Chemist and QA professional responsible for the production asset, together with 2 Process engineers. Production plant and reagent storage were decontaminated using minimum amounts of toluene, IMS and finally water.To date, 40+ years continuous employment with ICI / Zeneca / Astrazeneca and briefly AVARA Pharmaceutical Services. Upper Tier COMAH site.Initially, Laboratory / semi tech process development, Bulk of experience on Production support, process development and Manufacturing.Ranging from commodity chemicals, to Agrochemicals and Pharmaceutical Industries.Experience working abroad both individually and in teams.
