Core member of a global, multi disciplinary team, working to qualify and ramp products for audio applications, plus support continuing supply of existing high-volume products. Responsibilities include;- Develop and execute plans for various stages of the NPI Qualification process.- Development of hardware for ELFR, HTOL and HAST Quality verification stresses.- Development of software solutions for HTOL and ELFR- Characterisation of new designs across PVT, including data collection (Teradyne ATE systems), analysis (SAS JMP) and reporting (MS PPT)- Inputs to improvement of Test Times and Yields.- Manage investigations into quality concerns and potential qualification failures.

Preparation and execution of Plans for various activities, as required to qualify and ramp new designs.Yield analysis and Improvements plus Test time reductions in order to optimise costs.Post Qualification transfer of product ownership to offshore manufacturing sites, in parallel with high volume ramp.Manufacturing Support, using 6 sigma tools, to identify and resolve issues affecting customer supply.Development of test solutions using Teradyne ATE systems, along with IG-XL.

As a lead Product Engineer within New Product Introduction (NPI) I had responsibility for planning, development and execution of all tasks required for taking 16-Bit MCU projects from Planning through to Project Closure. This includes, but is not limited to; - Liaise with Reliability Engineering to define Qualification Stress requirements. - Work with Design in Germany, India or Brazil to provide inputs to DFT documentation. - Identify hardware and equipment required. - Prepare Test and Burn-in plans. - Liaise with Test Engineering in Germany, US or Scotland to ensure supply of patterns etc required for Test Program development. - Design Hardware for Final Test and Burn-in plus manage all tasks required to procure these. - Write Burn-in test and stress programs using Embedded C and debug the same using Codewarrior software along with an EVB plus Burn-in Hardware once delivered. - Work with Test Engineering to develop and Debug Probe and Final Test programs. - Characterise various modules using bench and ATE setups. - Manage all Qualification Test and Stress activities. - Manage logistics and liaise with Supply Chain team as necessary to supply pre-production samples to Tier 1 and other customers. - Analyse causes of yield loss at Probe, Final Test and Burn-in. Work with manufacturing and other departments where necessary to identify and implement yield improvement actions. - Identify Test time improvement opportunities and other methods of reducing test costs. - Provide solutions, results and inputs required to complete NPI gating checklists. - Document procedures etc required to hand over project ownership to Final Manufacturing in Malaysia or China. Also complete handover activities to allow project closure.
