I have a strong technical (IT/Network) and people management background with considerable experience in the corporate arena, at CIO level, delivering business improvements through Network and Information System solutions. I have developed key competencies in programme management; strategic evaluation, customer service delivery and Information System’s Implementation and Management. This has enabled me to deliver high quality, cost effective IT solutions and services aligned to the commercial objectives of the businesses I have worked with.I have the ability to relate to all levels of users and management within an organisation and I have good written, verbal and relationship management skills. I have significant vendor and project management experience and a leadership style to inspire the team I lead to take ownership of outcomes and deliver outstanding results.One of my more challenging roles was the CIO role within Wrightson. This was due to the complexity of the organisation as there were eleven different businesses within the Wrightson family, over 70 offices throughout NZ (and Australia) and over 1200 employees. I left this role following discussions with the CFO at the time to take on the Programme Management role to successfully steer Wrightson through the Y2K changes.I have spent many years on the vendor side of the industryand this has given me a greater appreciation of the wider IT industry and broadened my skills in Project, Programme and People Management.During the time I spent at IBM I completed the Leadership Development Program which was a post-graduate level programme to develop people management and leadership skills for IBM managers.My role within Gen-i provided me with additional experience in Enterprise Architecture frameworks and Service methodologies such as ITIL.I enjoy roles, with a technical focus, that draw on my substantial skills and experience, ideally in an environment that presents the opportunity for challenge and autonomy,
