About Colin Angus

I'm delighted that my role is part of the Church of England's strategic commitment to focus on Net Zero projects in churches, schools and clergy homes. I'm working in Coventry and Warwickshire. Teaching Geography gave me wonderful opportunities to work with young people and increase their awareness of their unique place in the world and the type of contributions they can make. Now I move to educate and encourage adults to act as well...Having just left the UK education sector, I respect the many professionals working here. The experiences I've gained in secondary education will be a great benefit.

a new pathway...Now Manager of 'Pathways to Employment', heading up a new initiative giving practical skills and learning opportunities to offenders. The venture has started in Coventry with a small cohort of men and women to train up. A successful outcome will look like someone who was long term unemployed and excluded successfully gaining (over a relatively short time) some of these attributes:• accredited qualifications and hands-on practical experience in construction • greater self-confidence and hope for future paid employment • punctuality and reliability • an overall positive attitude towards and understanding of work This venture will also directly lead to provision of additional good quality affordable rented housing.Working with Langley House Trust's resources, we are now offering a model which will also benefit community groups and similar organisations by delivering affordable property care services. Their custom and support will hopefully make this ethically-strong initiative sustainable too.Feel free to contact me for further information. Offers of support will be most welcome. Thanks!
