I have created the necessary Software Requirements Specification and Detailed Design Documentation for 4 of the major software components, and specified requirements for the remaining systems. I have developed the Antenna Steering Controller software, responsible for controlling the drive systems to position the antenna on a designated target within the pointing accuracy specified, using cascaded PID controller algorithms I have developed, to control both speed and position on two axes simultaneously. The application is developed in C++ on Linux. I have developed the Event Data Logger and RF Data Logger applications for deployment in early 2015 to a conversion site in Ghana. I have also been involved with training and mentoring of young students and trainees from Ghana, in all aspects of software pertaining to radio telescope operation and maintenance. Show less
