Worked within Coventry City Council’s Property Services Team dealing with their commercial estate. Working under the supervision of a Senior Surveyor I had responsibility for management of specific industrial, commercial and retail properties. - Developed an inspect programme of over 100 properties to identify tenant repair issues and implemented a plan to resolve any issues identified - Provided valuation advice on the Council’s commercial and residential estate resulting in capital receipts to the Council - Negotiated rent reviews and lease renewals and achieved an increase in rental income on the estate in excess of 5% on a like-for-like basis. - Monitored tenant balances ensuring arrears were less than 2% of the total rent roll - Responsible for the set up of new service charge set up and on-going management to ensure in excess of £0.25M was recovered from the Council’s tenants
