Supporting the wider program for the occupation of the DISC our new AstraZeneca R&D centre on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Described as one of the largest life science moves in the UK the project relocated over 2200 employees and installed 25,000 items of equipment. As a key member of this team I worked closely with the Director of Science Transition and I was accountable for the delivery of the occupation schedule. A delivery that was achieved through close working with internal and external resources. The overall occupation schedule lasted 9 months with science stopping for no longer than 4 weeks for each move. The project exited 7 separate science sites and science restarted in the DISC on time every time!

The key focus was the Safe and compliant handover of AstraZeneca assets to the landlord and the relocation of science teams to Cambridge. The challenges faced during this period included the emergence of COVID and implementation of safe working practices. The assets handed back to the landlord included office, science and FM blocks with the provision for shared services to remain in-situ for retained AZ real estate;

In the capacity of a Change Manager and as a key member of the Alderley Park and Northwest AZ Leadership Team I was part of a program working alongside Facilities Management and Real Estate planning. The role included the delivery of a Site Exit roadmap for Executive Stakeholders and the subsequent execution of the plan.In support of change, and in addition to operational activities, I was the accountable lead for initiating and delivering a programme of employee engagement activities in support of business change resulting in the closure of Alderley Park. • Space utilisation planning: Dynamic software tool “FindMe” to determine occupancy• Site consolidation: strategy for site exit roadmap based on science risk, budget & people • Real Estate: Supported site leads in the sale of the site to Bruntwood and transitioned SME’s• Senior stakeholder engagement: Planning, awareness and preparation of key documents • Compliance: Handover of key assets in line with SSoW• Employee engagement: Project managed events across 3 NW sites in support of change• Communication channels: Transitioned from Scala to 22miles platform xUK• Inclusivity and Diversity: Lead series of global events to showcase I&D across the business • Corporate Social Responsibility: Accountable for regional capture in line with annual report• STEM: Established AZ STEM activities across UK and delivered event attracting > 2000 people• Charitable activities: Est. local charities of choice and a volunteering platform - now UK wide• Cambridge transition: Developed process for the relocation of assets to interim SE facilities

Part of a team supporting early stage drug hunting projects, role involved cascade screening using classical pharmacological agents and responses after being challenged via novel entities. I was promoted into a biochemical screening team where my responbilities included assay design and delivery and implementation of new technologies included - automation, TomTec and screening technologies - SPA During this time i worked 1 day a week at Mcr Uni to attain a Degree in Physiology and Pharmacology (2.1 hons)
