Our PhotonAi X-ray camera captures sharp native images using several discrete energy bands tuned to overcome the detection limitations of today´s technologies. I formed Animar Tech to lift small and medium enterprises through pivot points in their growth trajectory by fast tracking the commercialisation of their new techologies and innovation programs. Each program typically represents 1-2 million€ investment in R&D and engineering.

Studied the convergence of technologies and business applications required to enable Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to reach their full potential. UAV´s are rapidly emerging as a civil technology platform to improve the efficieny of planning, inspection and survey operations and to generate high resolution insights for agricultural, environmental and humanitarian needs in an agile economic system.

As the R&D membe rof the newly formed Region category leadership teams I led portfolio transformation for the Beverage category across Europe and Sub-Sahara Africa (ESSA). I framed the execution strategy across different business models and became an influential leader across the global matrix. I built a lean, high accountability team of scientists and engineers to commercialise transformative innovation at the business interface of three economically and culturally diverse Regions. We maintained growth moementum across the category and established significantly incremental innovation in line with our corporate and strategic goals.

I partnered with the Executive team and individual R&D groups to optimise the portfolio, cost of goods, client offerings and increase competitive differentiation for consumers.

I led the launch of start up brands across the Food and Nutrition portfolio, launching award winning products into new segments. I helped smaller acquisitions succeed in the global mega-brand business through innovation and geographical expansion. In each new business segment I brought focus on cosumer-led innovation, lean manufacturing, process simplification and thrid party alliances to enable up to 50% growth through innovation.

I set strategy and inspired the need for change to healthier oils ahead of the medical-scientific and sustainability consensus. I went on to define and validate the end to end supply chain strategy to lead an industry wide conversion away from Palm based oils. In parallel, I created an innovation culture that allowed alternative innovation strategies to flourish with a ´take the hills´ entrepreneurial mindset. I designed the pilot, prototyping and culinary capabilities for the Europe R&D Centre of Excellence. Through reverse engineering the physical and chemical transformations in conventional processes I was able to reimagine these and pioneer the application of advanced manufacturing platforms resulting in global intellectual property, product innovation in the upper quintile of Nielsen BASES II, technology transfers, technology licencing and risk mitigated test markets.

Through ideation and design I implemented an FMCG potato chip innovation pipeline for sustainable growth across multiple markets in Europe & MEA. In this time I delivered the biggest salty snack category launches of the decade in both UK and Spain, across premium and artisinal brands. I engineered low capital solutions to leverage exsiting line capabilities and persuaded the organisation of the consumer value and efficacy to incroporate new raw materials although seemingly cost prohibitive.

I partnered with the Procurement group on the strategic regeneration of the flexible packaging supply chain and materials. I developed harmonisation models to streamline sourcing and built industry leading proprietary capability to enhance point-of-sale quality.

Establish quality and control systems, drive capacity through efficiency and process capability during the rapid growth of Walkers to achieve the UK No.1 food brand.

Established test lab and team to reformulate portfolio and acquire new business through NPD. Led formulation and scale up to deliver catering products across bakery and food service segment to blue chip clients in the UK.
