My primary responsibilities include identifying and facilitating process improvement initiatives using cross-functional teams. I manage 8 regional specialists and support to 30 location-specific specialists in teams that I built from the ground up. I provide support to these same programs in Mexico and Europe with budget responsibility of almost $2 million. Included Optical Character Recognition/AP automation, supply chain finance program, and routine AP recovery audits, vendor risk analysis and automation of Travel & Expense reimbursements. • Reduced payment cycle (DSO) by 1 full day, and reduced manual processing by 50%, via implementation of Collections Management module automating cash application, credit limits and release evaluations. • Proposed and instituted expense-reimbursement software solution saving $200k in yearly overhead, and improving accuracy and turnaround of submissions. System processes ~40,000 requests annually and is still in use. • Realized 8.9-day increase (DPO) on $7 billion in annual payables via institution of Supply Chain Finance program allowing extension of payment terms to select vendors.• Revamped payment system for smaller customers to accept instant payments via ACH self-service portal. Partnered with bank to design and implement solution, eliminating an outdated check-by-fax system.
During the beginning of my career with JBS, I was responsible for the assimilation of shared-services departments for 4 companies that were acquired over 5 years. I designed all organizational structures, analyzed operations, and aligned staff. This resulted in integrating an efficient, unified team that is now performing shared services for organization with annual revenues of $24 billion. In addition, I migrated IT systems to a single platform on time and under budget and utilized internal resources that saved millions by avoiding consulting fees.Selected Achievements:• Championed 100-person team to implement largest software migration ever executed within company. • Moved U.S. financial systems to SAP instance with minimal disruption.
