Colin leads the Americas Apps domain engineering team within Azure FastTrack with 20+ engineers located in the US, Canada, and Brazil working with our EMEA and Asia counterparts. The team helps customers properly deploy Azure solutions leveraging OpenAI services, Azure Kubernetes Service and Cloud Native/container ecosystem, App Services, RedHat OpenShift, Spring Apps, Logic Apps, DevOps/GitHub, APIM, App Gateway, Front Door, and other first party PaaS services. The focus of the team is twofold: firstly, to help customers properly leverage Azure services following prescriptive Azure WAF and CAF guidance, and secondly to extract and inject learnings back into the Azure services for continuous improvement.

Colin manages an engineering team in Azure FastTrack, a segment of Azure Engineering that provides direct assistance to help customers build desired solutions the right way, quickly and confidently. FastTrack engineers work side-by-side with customers and partners and in parallel create Azure Docs, blueprints, and architectural guidance on GitHub. Colin and his team specialize in Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure App Service, Service Fabric, DevOps, Functions, Identity, and many more PaaS services.

Colin was the lead Cloud Solution Architect for one of Microsoft's largest enterprise Azure customers, helping the customer get started with Azure back in 2014 and leading the application and infrastructure growth from zero to millions per month in Azure consumption. Colin has extensive experience scaling Azure infrastructure and most recently led the delivery of a complex modernization effort from virtual machines to containers.

Colin was the Chicago Technology Center lead architect on Microsoft Azure, software development tools, Windows 8 modern app development, SharePoint and Office 365 solution development, Dynamics CRM, and BizTalk Server. In this role Colin helped customers in the MTC envision and architect solutions to business problems with Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies. Colin helped insurance customers connect the dots between their business, insurance industry trends, and the broad set of Microsoft technologies. As the industry architect, Colin helped insurance industry customers leverage Microsoft and partner technologies to build composite business solutions. Colin spoke at numerous industry conferences on Microsoft solutions for the insurance industry such as ACORD, IASA, CIECA, and others. Colin designed and built an accelerator for ACORD standards called the Insurance Value Chain Software Factory available as open source on Codeplex.

Colin achieved the level of Architectural Consultant in Microsoft's services group focused on the Financial Services industry. Colin lead many high profile and mission critical software projects at fotune 500 banks and insurance companies around the US for 10 years. In parallel, Colin also worked on various Microsoft toolkit teams and designed and built popular community tools like the widely used XSD to .NET schema code generator, the BizTalk Jumpstart Kit (received a Microsoft patent award), the SOAP 2.0 toolkit. and also co-developed the Microsoft Exchange / Novell GroupWise calendar gateway.

C++ and Delphi software developer on the award winning First Windows 2000 cash management software package for the commercial banking business. Colin also led the technical delivery of a new corporate check returns solution platform.
