At Backstop, I created and maintained web applications for the financial industry. This culminated in leading a development team focused on the performance and scalability of our main application. During this time I played at being tech lead, project manager, product manager, and mentor. Ultimately I was responsible for the timely delivery of improvements like implementing a distributed Hibernate Level 2 cache, profiling and tweaking heavily-used code, and refactoring legacy, domain-specific application caches to a distributed model.
