As Test Manager at C&C Group, I was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the testing function ensuring that all software releases met quality standards. I played a key role in defining test plans, overseeing test execution, and ensuring that all defects were identified and addressed in a timely manner. I worked closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of testing into the development lifecycle.

Test Lead with responsibility to ensure the quality of the company’s blue chip suite of products. As part of this role I was responsible for the leadership of the Test Team while initially being responsible for the building of it. The role differed daily and had me managing, testing, liaising with clients and generally improving the testing process on an ongoing basis.

Senior Test Analyst with responsibility for writing test specifications, creating test data and executing all lifecycle testing activities across multiple systems prior to release to some of the UK’s largest companies. The role was diverse as testing could take place for small batch systems, working on an individual basis, to working as part of a team for a large web application release. As part of my remit, I introduced new ideas and improved the testing process as a whole. In doing so I developed and introduced new test documentation, test automation with a Web API test harness and a Selenium testing framework. I also significantly improved performance testing with the introduction of JMeter and cloud based load testing.

Test Analyst specifically chosen to head up and coordinate the National Insurance and PAYE Service (NPS) testing effort for a Government Digital Service (GDS) led project. The project encompassed Continuous Integration practices in an Agile environment and was the first of its kind on the NPS project. Together with the developers I created a bespoke test harness and took advantage of the JUnit framework to automate the functional testing of a Java based Web API. I personally tested, reported and coordinated all testing activities while liaising with various third parties during System Testing and Intersystem Integration Testing. The project was highly successful and led to roll out of an Agile approach across many NPS projects.

Inter System Integration Test (IsIT) Coordinator with responsibility for managing and aligning multiple third party systems and the Testing Team on the National Insurance and PAYE Service (NPS) project. The role involved the overseeing of IsIT Testing, configuration and preservation of the integration testing environments, upkeep of the technical testing guides and training of resources in IsIT testing techniques.

Test Analyst with responsibility for testing the large-scale National Insurance and PAYE Service (NPS), on behalf of HMRC, while working creatively and analytically in a team based problem-solving environment. The role involved the analysis of the solution, extraction of test cases from design documentation, creation of test plans, setup of test data, escalation of issues to relevant teams, liaising with the other teams to validate fixes and status reporting to supervisors on a daily basis.
