Migrating existing brittle rails applications to new modular service orientated applications. Moving the technology stack to a new data centre, increasing redundancy/ availability. Performed load and stress testing, coupled with subsequent code optimisation on key api's.Working with a number of junior and senior ruby rails developers in an agile and exciting environment to provide real quality and benefit, a highly enjoyable and challenging period..

Senior R&D and Implementations consultant within the IBM business space. Responsible for establishing proof of concept with new software along with implementation and training support services.Main roles covered IBM Portal, Content Management, Websphere on iSeries and xSeries.

Nuneaton

Joined as a developer, working in a small team to develop the 'Aftermarket' application which integrated into the enterprise resource planning tool known as BPCS. This was done using a RPG/AS-ASSET on the AS400/iSeries. Work involved, design, testing and client site liaison & support. During my time I went to onsite technical go to lead overseen by a senior team member in Nuneaton.
