November 2006 to July 2007Working on behalf of Price Waterhouse Cooper for their clients Romtelecom (Dolce), I assisted in the creation of a new DTH Satellite Headend in Romania, The Dolce Platform launched in December 2006 with 55 pass-through channels. My main areas of responsibility were to provide existing Romtelecom employees with pre and post launch training in the transmission area. This was a new venture for Romtelecom, and as such, a new area of understanding for there employees. This involved:• Introduction and training of the broadcast equipment.• Training in the management of audio and video quality.• Loss of signal procedures.• Equipment failure and recovery.• Subscriber queries by way of the help desk.• General management of the platform to a high degree. Monitoring & maintaining the output of Viasat’s 20 TV channels to Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Duties include, managing and organising the playout schedules, preparing transmission tapes for playout, controlling live broadcasts feeds and recovery of emergency breakdown situations.

Media Icon held the British Telecom contract to sell advertising on telephone kiosks. This opportunity was a new one for me as it was dealing with the “Outside” media of the posters industry.My responsibilities were to build campaigns based on the requests from our sales team• Confirm site availability• Produce posting lists for our bill posters• invoice the advertisers for the campaigns booked• Production of revenue figures for the senior management.

The UPC Broadcast Centre was responsible for the transmission of 48 television channels across two DTH platforms to Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Reporting to the Head of Production and Facilities, my responsibilities include managing a team of 10 schedulers producing full and partial transmission schedules for a number of channels on the Cyfra+ and UPC Direct platforms. I also facilitated information flows between channels suppliers and the the Broadcast Centre, whilst playing a major role in the platform's EPG management and liaising with the Library, Transmission, and Warsaw and Hungary-based Sales departments.

Live TV was one of the first Cable exclusive channels providing Sport and General entertainment programming to the UK cable market. Responsibilities included co-ordinating the Programming, Scheduling and Transmission Departments to produce a comprehensive daily running order using the FOCUS scheduling system.

BOSS Associates was a software development company providing software solutions to the broadcast industry. Responsibilities included managing the development of the sales system for MTV, a major client. Liaised directly with the client as well as internal personnel developing the system to address client requirements.

Live TV was one of the first Cable exclusive channels providing Sport and General entertainment programming to the UK cable market. Reporting to the Sales Director, responsibilities included the building of the operational elements of a sales administration department, providing the sales team with the processes and backup required to manage their campaigns, copy chasing, creation of daily commercial running orders, and invoicing and production of financial reports for the Sales Director.

Carlton TV held the London Weekday ITV Franchise. Reporting to the Sales Administration Manager, my responsibilities included administrating commercial sales, forward scheduling, and late sales operations in compliance with ITC guidelines.

TSW held the Regional Television Franchise for the South West of England. Reporting to the Sales Administration Manager, responsibilities included administrating commercial sales, forward scheduling, and late sales operations in compliance with ITC guidelines.
