• Created and developed the Spatial Mic 360° ambisonic recording system consisting of 2nd order ambisonic microphones with digital audio output, software control and a digital signal processing software plugin used by hundreds of clients worldwide for Spatial Audio capture, ranging from Abbey Road Recording Studio to the Super Bowl.• Collaborated with a 4-person team to create the company’s flagship Spatial Mic USB and Dante Audio Networking products, providing customers with a future-proof method for capturing audio with high spatial resolution & digital output for Dolby Atmos or traditional stereo using virtual polar pattern decode with a single microphone via USB or standard IP network.• Conducted electronics design using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout, performed mechanical design using Autodesk Fusion 360, and created additive (MJF 3D printing), subtractive (CNC) and sheet metal parts.

• Designed and developed and consulted on low-noise mixed-signal PCBs and embedded firmware for products ranging from high-volume consumer electronics to bespoke professional devices from concept to completion.• Created professional audio recording gear, analog, digital & optical microphones, spatial audio, USB audio, microphone pre-amplifiers, mixers and teleconferencing products.• Designed, developed, tested and launched an audio convolution/reverb iOS application by creating a framework for audio processing in XCode using Audio Units and designing and implementing the UI and an overlap-add convolution method.

• Designed and developed Marshall’s entire product line of instrument microphones, mixers, USB interfaces, and audio processors by conducting schematic capture and PCB design for low-noise analog and digital, mixed-signal circuits.• Wrote BOMs, procured components, and oversaw prototype building, testing, and debugging along with developing mechanical and industrial designs of products using Pro/E and a 3D printer.• Created a low-noise analog front end for a small diaphragm condenser microphone using a trans-impedance amplifier (TIA), transformer-coupled output and low-noise DC-DC circuitry that has been in continuous production for over 13 years.
