Worked on a relative localization method for autonomous cars based on Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication in the mmW frequency range. My tasks included simulating the basic functionality in MATLAB as well as setting up a hardware prototype with off-the-shelf RF components. I have co-authored a patent based on this project.Further supported the vehicle test engineers during demonstrations of Aptiv's (formerly Delphi) level 4 autonomous car for partners and customers.

Worked on a power line communication system for the control of intelligent LED luminaires in the context of Internet of Things / Home automation. My task was to extended the unidirectional control to a fully bidirectional communication system to access data coming from the luminaires and connected sensors. I designed all necessary circuits, protocols and PCBs, simulated the system in Matlab and LTSpice and implemented the software on an AVR XMega microcontroller in C. The work resulted in two published papers.
