I have more than 20 years of experience as both a marketer and communicator. Having started my career with a few of the most established PR agencies in Singapore, I moved on into a variety of industries at in-house positions where I conducted the full communications orchestra. I am fortunate to have been there to witness the dawn of a new age when I first heard the modem make strange whirly noises while connecting to what was a young internet. I had worked with several great partners as I continued my professional development. They had shown me the good, the not-so-good, and the unmentionables in the marketing arena. Having managed teams both big and small, managing both upwards, downwards and laterelly, the corporate world has proved to be a heck of a ride. Today with exabytes of data being shifted around the world at ever increasing speeds, marketing is again on the cusp of a new chapter and I'm lucky I continue to be a part of the industry. I currently drive marketing communications strategy in an industrial B2B capacity.

Senior Officer – Marketing CommunicationsSony Electronics Asia Pacific 2004 - 2005As the PR person supporting the various pillars of products within Sony, I had the privilege of examining every gem that came my way and crafting the press release to go with it. The highlight of this time was the momentous launch of the first HD camcorder to the market, managing this press conference in Tokyo was a glorious experience.Also a source of great pride was the managing the publicity of Sony's corporate ambassador, a charming robot called QRIO. After having understood the genius behind its engineering and the affable team that worked with it, I was proud to have planned its regional publicity programme and been their regional spokesperson. If only Facebook and the Social Network had taken off by then, QRIO may still be around today...I also worked on cross-category advertising projects that included the fledgling version of a HD concept that everyone gets by now.
