About Colin Fanning

I'm a curator and scholar of design history and material culture. My research interests encompass a broad range of architecture and design from the mid-nineteenth century to the present, as well as some narrower fields of inquiry like the material culture of childhood (especially building toys and video game design), the history of design pedagogy in the United States, the intersections of craft and counterculture, and the visual and material cultures of spaceflight.
