Associate Research Officer
Under the guidance of the Deputy Director, Pillar I (Law and Policy) of the Division of International Protection, and the direct supervision of the Head of the Refugee Status Determination Section, responsible for the general administration and research formulation of UNHCR country specificpolicy guidance, as well as for the country of origin information management for the purposes of supporting and enabling high quality refugee status determination decisions by UNHCR staff and Government counterparts. The management of country of origin information encompasses Refworld country of origin information portfolio, including UN documents, country/thematic information relating to refugees, statelessness, migration and other relevant issues. Assists the Head of Section on enhancing the thematic and geographical coverage of selected protection information. Collaborates with external contacts/networks in expanding the support for country specific policy guidance.
