Alongside teammate Paddy Carracher, I spearheaded a company-wide shift towards more Environmental & Sustainable company policies & practices. This transformation was supported strongly by Senior Caliber Management and involved the formation of a working group who developed and implemented several tasks aimed at improving Caliber's position as a sustainable company in the areas of Engineering Design and Business Operations.

Detailed mechanical design of fully customized aircraft interiors, taken from industrial design concept through to detailed engineering design and manufacture. All adhering to strict aerospace safety standards & requirements.

Babcock operate New Zealand’s largest marine engineering facility and dry-dock and tackle complex, multi-disciplined projects for a vast array of vessels. Working as a design lead at Babcock, my role was to manage projects from initial needs and requirements stages, through the full design process and into project implementation. Babcock operate a detailed and thorough engineering design process, with multiple planned design reviews to ensure agreement and compliance among all relevant stakeholders. Autodesk Inventor was the primary CAD software used throughout the detailed design and drawing phases, where I gained a lot of experience in handling large assemblies and producing drawings for manufacture.

Cross Engineering is well established Agricultural Engineering company which designs and produces a wide range of machinery for use in the Agricultural and Biogas sectors and exports on the international market.I spent a total of eight months at Cross Engineering for my 'INTRA' placement during 3rd year of University, during which I took the responsibility of the Design Engineer.This included responsibilities such as: • Designing heavy machinery for use in the Agricultural and Biogas sectors.• Drawing existing machines.• Drawing new machines for quotations.• Updating existing drawings.• Drawing and arranging Parts books and Assembly Manuals for metal fabrication.• Drawing and ordering parts for laser manufacture.• Electrical and Hydraulic circuit diagrams. • Production of Engineering reports.I was also invloved in the sales and post-sales support of these machine and dealt with customer queries.My time at Cross Engineering gave me incredibly experience as a Design Engineer where I had the chance to learn from professionals who have been succeeding in the sector for 30 years.

I worked for Cultivating Solutions 3 months during the summer after my second year at University. I had a severe interest in Agricultural Engineering and wanted to gain experience in the sector, which led me to finding this position, located in Yorkshire, England. My responsibilities included:• Efficient assembly of large tillage equipment.• Manufacture of hydraulic circuits.• Production of parts lists for machines.• Assistance in the production of CAD drawings.• Involvement at trade fairs and shows.This was very 'hands on' work which I enjoyed and gave me a great insight into the Agricultural Engineering sector. This experience contributed greatly to my ability to perform my roles in Cross Engineering.

I worked in the Arklow Bay Hotel as a Bartender where I was employed for functions such as weddings, christenings, birthdays etc. It often occurred that I was needed as a waiter for some of these functions.Bartending was a profession I always wanted to gain experience as it is an excellent skill to have and can used all around the world.
