Manage the department responsible for:• Customised Java software development• Providing a development lead competency• End to end development and application support services for the IT Online Channel and Extended Identity Services teams

• Manage the teams that provide support and maintenance services for Australia Post's national retail POS and HRMS business applications

• Define, communicate and govern the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Service Continuity and Configuration Management• Manage the vendor relationship of external service providers• Reduce system outages and service calls volumes• Implement a continual service improvement program of work

• Manage all staff and project activities for the FGL portal and over 100 external web sites• Actively raise awareness of the capabilities of collaboration technologies so that FGL can gain greater advantage from their systems and processes• Lead a team of 7 staff members located in 3 different states

• Project manage the replacement of a legacy ERP system with J.D. Edwards• Manage the project plan, scope, costs, schedule and quality of deliverables• Forecast and ensure project resource requirements are staffed to appropriate levels• Mitigate project issues and risks through to resolution• Present to steering committee, business units and executives as required• Prepare and issue weekly project status reports

• Manage all activities and resources in the team that provides the application support for the business systems and interfaces• Manage an effective 24x7 shift rotation across the team to ensure business continuity• Ensure knowledge transfer of application support amongst team members is achieved• Liaise with other team leaders, business personnel and vendors to deliver coherent, cost effective support within agreed budget and timeframe parameters
