To underpin that ambition over the last 3 years I have delivered a significant transformation of the technology team, new Ethernet/ FTTP network solutions and a wide range of new IT/ Digital applications. The business outcomes can be seen in the business results with revenue and EBITDA up in parallel with the biggest FTTP build in the U.K. with over 6 million premises passed.Highlights so far :-1. Rapidly established a new technology organisation and built 4 UK & 1 India based technology hubs. Scale 600 people with £180m annual budget.2. Built & delivered an initial 3 year IT and Network strategy to transform the estate - benchmarked externally so we learn from the best.3. The IT/ Digital transformation included - addressing 15 years of legacy upgrades, reducing IT incidents by over 90% with investment in resilience/ modern service techniques, introducing new/ innovative solutions to automate/ underpin the scale fibre build, new scheduling systems and apps for the 20k Openreach engineers, new apps to enable partner resource to work seamlessly for Openreach. 4. The network transformation included - rapid introduction of 2 new FTTP network partners to ensure a diverse FTTP build, innovation in FTTP to transform customer service, new Ethernet solutions underpinning £250M of new revenue.5. Lead the adoption of agile working practices Established 30 agile squads to accelerate it delivery and transform how business and technology work together to build solutions.Lots more to do in a very exciting business leading the UKs fibre revolution. -
