I am an intellectual property and trade practices King’s Counsel at the Victorian Bar.For over 30 years I have worked on intellectual property and trade practices matters involving a very extensive range of cases in these areas in the Federal Court and High Court.. I am author of legal and non-legal works. My writing has been produced and published by leading theatre companies, TV and radio broadcasters , as well as in the Australian Financial Review, the Australian Book Review and a number of legal journals including the Australian Intellectual Property Law Bulletin. I have published legal books in the intellectual property field.I have taught intellectual property subjects in the Masters of Law program at Melbourne University as a Visiting Fellow and have lectured on intellectual property subjects throughout Australia. I was admitted to legal practice in 1985, and worked as a solicitor for Phillips Fox Solicitors for three years prior to signing the Bar Roll in November 1988 (having read with former High Court Justice Susan Crennan). I was appointed a Senior Counsel in 2002.
